The places were authentic to the area, which allowed us to be immersed into the culture and made us feel like adventurers vs tourists. In Lucca, our place inside the city walls had 360 degree views from the tower of the city and mountainside. She provided us guidance on tours, and transportation whether by bus, train or ferry.
